About Dr. Jack Kotowski
Jacek (Jack) Kotowski, MD, is an experienced ophthalmologist and retina specialist on the team at Rocky Mountain Eye Center. He works with patients at the practice’s locations in Missoula and Hamilton, Montana - primarily practicing out of the Missoula office.
Dr. Kotowski earned his medical degree from the Medical University of Lublin in Lublin, Poland. He later attended the University of Illinois in Chicago for a Master of Business Administration degree.
He went on to complete an internship at Wayne State University’s Providence Hospital and Medical Center in Southfield, Michigan, before going to the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, where he completed his ophthalmology residency and a research fellowship in ophthalmic imaging. He finished his training with a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he also spent time as a clinical instructor of ophthalmology.
In his practice, he specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, cataract surgery, and the treatment of macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He maintains a professional interest in retinal neurodegenerations and all aspects of vitreoretinal disease and surgery.
Before coming to Rocky Mountain Eye Center, Dr. Kotowski served as the medical director of Optobionics Corporation, where he worked on the world’s first artificial retina microchip.
